Our big annual fundraising event each summer has helped us to achieve our goal, including the preservation of the oldest building in Somerset, The Quaker Meetinghouse. Not only is it the oldest in Somerset, but the Massachusetts Historical Commission has designated it the oldest meetinghouse in the state. Above and beyond that, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as it is one of the oldest houses of worship in the United States! With hundreds of people expected to attend over the weekend, there are several opportunities for corporate sponsorship that provide excellent visibility for your organization and will help support the Friends of Somerset Historic Preservation’s efforts.
